More interesting facts about Emily Pfannes:

What is a fun unique fact about yourself? Majority of the shows I watch require subtitles as they are not in English. I have begun to pick up certain words in other languages because of it.

What is your favorite TV show? Hogan’s Heroes or MASH 4077 (I enjoyed Pinky and the Brain and Roadrunner when I was a kid. Perseverance at its best. No matter how many times you fail, try, try again.)

What is your favorite quote? “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Sir Winston Churchill (probably paraphrasing George Santayana (1905) “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Who probably was paraphrasing Edmund Burke (1729-1797) “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.”) A WWII American veteran repeated Churchill’s quote to me as the reason why he was informing tourists at the Holocaust Museum what the words above Auschwitz meant and the history of the war. He had come to the US a few years prior to WWII as a German immigrant and enlisted in the US military after the war started. He was a translator in the military and later became one of the translators at the Nuremburg Trails. I wish I remembered his name but his story has stayed with me and so did his reason as he did not want history to repeat because someone failed to remember/learn from it.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Not tell anyone except for the professional that would help me establish the  trust(s) or an entity for managing the investment, taxes, and donations of the funds. Donations, paying down debt, and family vacations can come after that is established.

What animal do you think closely matches your personality? Wolf
