Sandra is the fourth generation of the Smith Family who founded the First National Bank of River Falls in 1904. She attended both high school and college in River Falls. Sandra and her husband have been married for over 42 years and have two children and two granddaughters. After raising a family and working in banking, purchasing and retail in the 1980’s, Sandra was elected to the Board of Directors of FNBRF in 1992 and resumed her career at FNBRF in 1995. Sandra worked with Marketing, Special Projects and Events and began overseeing FNBRF’s charitable and giving contributions. When asked about a favorite bank event, Sandra cites the planning and celebrating the 100 year anniversary of FNBRF. Her nonprofit work includes Courage St. Croix, Parent Teacher Organization, Children’s Hospital Association, and also has helped organize and actively participated in many fundraising events. She has served on the Boards of Kinnic Falls Alcohol and Drug Abuse Center and The River Falls Community Foundation. Sandra was elected Board Chair of FNBRF in 2016 and is now semi-retired, leaving time for gardening, yoga, hiking, travel and sharing her many life experiences of growing up in the area with her grandchildren.

Jeff grew up in New Berlin, Wisconsin, holds a finance degree from UW-Whitewater and is a graduate of the UW-Madison Graduate School of Banking. He and his wife are parents of seven children and have called the St. Croix Valley home for the past 11 years. Jeff has 33 years of experience in the banking industry. He is a board member and Treasurer of River Falls Youth Boys Basketball, board member and Treasurer of River Falls High School Athletic Booster Club, a member of the River Falls Rotary Club, River Falls School District Character Education Committee, and the UW-River Falls School of Business Dean’s Council, and the UW-Madison Graduate School of Banking Alumni Council. He is also a retired past President & board member of the River Falls Community Foundation and a past trustee of First Congregational United Church of Christ. When not at work, you’ll find Jeff spending time with his family, coaching youth basketball, baseball and football or volunteering throughout the community.  At FNBRF, Jeff enjoys leading an organization with a fantastic group of employees that makes a positive impact in the communities it serves. He and the FNBRF family are proud to be part of communities that look out for and take care of each other.

Matt is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics. He's been married to his high school sweetheart for thirty-five years and the couple share three children and two grandchildren. Matt's professional career includes three decades plus of banking experience. His volunteer efforts include the River Falls Rotary Club, St. Bridget's Catholic Church Finance Council and work with numerous other past organizations. In addition to spending time with his family, Matt spends his time traveling, hiking, kayaking, reading and following St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Green Bay Packers football. Matt's commitment to finding financial solutions for his customers and helping to make their dreams a reality is what he enjoys most about his job. He appreciates all the opportunity the St. Croix Valley offers in education, recreation and community focus, and is happy to give back as part of the FNBRF family.

Lois graduated from River Falls High School and is married to her high school sweetheart. Together they share a grown son, who’s married with two children of his own. She has been at FNBRF for over 40 years, beginning in the bookkeeping department in 1976. You’ll find Lois regularly volunteering at FNBRF sponsored community celebrations and fundraising events. Other interests include spending time with her grandkids, traveling the country to visit her five brothers and sisters, walking, reading and the occasional Netflix series binge. Truly a numbers person, Lois always finds satisfaction in a well designed spreadsheet that is in balance! She believes that community banking is all about focusing on the needs of local families, businesses and organizations, along with helping to keep the local economy vibrant and growing. Lois is proud to work at FNBRF and to be part of an organization that provides a great place for their employees while continuously donating time, money and support to the communities it serves.

Tom grew up on a dairy farm outside of River Falls and graduated from River Falls High School. He has three adult children and two grandchildren. Tom lives with his fiancé, who also has two grandchildren. In May of 2020, Tom celebrated 45 years at First National Bank of River Falls. He is active at United Church of Christ in Cottage Grove, MN as a member of the music worship team. Tom also is President of the Riverside Condominium Association and Treasurer for the River Falls Farmers Market. Remodeling and building projects keep Tom busy in his spare time, including building decks, electrical work, plumbing and more. There’s also his love of playing guitar, spending time with family and of course, fishing! As COO, he enjoys supporting bank employees, along with meeting and helping customers. Tom believes community banking is about providing the best products, customer service and paying it forward by volunteering and giving back to the communities FNBRF serves.

Pam graduated from River Falls High School and is married with two daughters and two granddaughters. She brings 43 years of banking experience to the First National Bank of River Falls family. Pam is active in her church as a finance committee member for the River Falls United Methodist Church. When not at the office, you’ll find Pam spending time with family and friends, be it camping, four wheeling, golfing or relaxing in Florida. She most enjoys helping FNBRF employees learn and grow by sharing her wealth of knowledge from her many years on the job. Pam believes community banking is all about focusing on the needs of local businesses and families. In working at FNBRF’s staff, management and board of directors, Pam feels like she’s part of a large, supportive family.

Laura holds a Business Administration degree and is a Certified Community Bank Internal Auditor through ICBA. She and her husband own a 300-head dairy farm in Baldwin and have two sons. While in college in October of 1989, Laura started at FNBRF as a drive-up teller. More than 30 years later, she remains a member of the FNBRF family. She is a board member for the Baldwin-Woodville Boys Basketball Booster Club. Laura also is busy attending her son’s sporting events, boating, snowmobiling, doing yard and garden work and spending time with family. She enjoys the variety of her responsibilities at the bank and helping people in the community, whether at home, work, play or through FNBRF’s support of business and organizations. Laura sees FNBRF as a leader in donating time and money in support of the communities it serves.

Kaydi graduated Summa Cum Laude from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has also achieved SHRM-CP (Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional) certification in support of her role at FNBRF. Kaydi is married with two step-sons, who she calls absolute blessings, and has been at the bank since 2009. She is Past President of the St. Croix Valley Employers Association and serves on the board of directors for the St. Croix Valley United Way. Supporting her boys in their many sporting activities occupies much of Kaydi’s time, along with camping and hiking outdoors. Kaydi believes that, simply put, community banking is about people and goes beyond banking. It’s people helping people flourish and remain vibrant. FNBRF’s belief that employee wellbeing goes far beyond the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the walls of the office is just one reason she’s grateful, and one way the Bank is committed to each employee. This loyalty shows in FNBRF’s employee retention, productivity and customer relationships.
