In 1904 the Smith Family had a vision to create a community bank that focused on the very people that make up this great community. Over 100 years later, First National Bank of River Falls continues to be locally owned and operated while proudly serving Western Wisconsin.

A Message from the President

Welcome to the newly remodeled website of the First National Bank of River Falls! As President and CEO at First National, I am honored to have the opportunity to show you what our community bank is all about.

Since the bank was chartered in 1904, we have had the belief that it is our utmost responsibility to take care of our customers, our employees, and our communities. This is what sets us apart from other financial institutions. For example, in 2021, the bank made financial contributions to 135 separate local fundraisers and organizations, and our employees donated 2,236 hours of their personal time to volunteer for numerous worthy causes in our communities. In addition, we utilized the proceeds from our 12th annual FNBRF 5K event to purchase 795 pairs of shoes and socks for needy children in River Falls and Prescott.

We realize that your time is valuable. As a result, we have put together several platforms to give you the opportunity to “stay connected” with First National. First National continues to be a locally owned and operated bank, directed by a very engaged Board of Directors. Our Board Chair, Sandra Smith Wurm, continues to lead our strong group of prominent community business and civic leaders.

Finally, I would like to show my gratitude to our outstanding team of employees, whose creativity, work ethic, and commitment to excellence continue to make this one of the top community banks in the country. As we continue to navigate together through all of the uncertainty of the pandemic, we will continue to do our best to realize the goal of providing the highest level of customer service that you have come to expect from the First National Bank of River Falls.
